Spring Concert - 'Bach Cantata BWV 147' and 'Beethoven Mass in C'

Our Spring concert will be performed in the beautiful
St.Martin's Church, Likeard on Saturday 28th March
at 7.30 p.m.
Choir conductor, Chris Howarth will direct the choir and soloists in the performance of two glorious musical classics 'Bach Cantata BWV 147' and 'Beethoven Mass in C'.
Anthony Trodd is the organist for both works and he will also perform a solo piece. The choir is pleased to continue to support young classical music scholars. Three students from the Royal Academy of Music and Joshua Hughes, student at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire will take part in the concert. The three students with Matthew Secombe, tenor, will sing the solo parts and Joshua Hughes will perform an organ solo.
Beautiful music in a lovely setting – A Spring evening treat !

50th Anniversary Concert
The concert at St. Germans Church included J.S. Bach Cantata no. 104 Thou Guide of Israel (the first piece ever sung by ECBC 50 years ago) with orchestra, tenor and bass soloists, and Bach's Magnificat in D, Bruckner motets, Handel's Coronation Anthem, The King Shall Rejoice, Latin American Baroque music and the winning piece from our 50th anniversary competition.
